Pat Buchheim entered into eternity on the 20th of February, 2020, after a brief illness, at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her father Virgil Dempsey Graham, her mother Nellie Blanche Ronan, her brothers Dr. Richard Graham and Michael Ronan, her husband, Lawrence F. Buchheim, and her youngest daughter, Stephanie Lyford. Pat is survived by her remaining children, Erica Alikchihoo, Shannon McNichols, and Lawrence F. Buchheim II (Evelyn). There are also 10 grandchildren – Denise Bar (Aviv), Tasha Moore (Glenn), Patricia Vega, Kaylea McNichols, Carolyn McNichols, Daniel Corliss (Kim), Elle Laue, Lauren Cooper, Kulauri Cooper, and Athens Coenen – and 8 great-grandchildren, and we must not forget her close friend, Audrey Copeland.
Although born in Oklahoma, the beautiful and gregarious Pat moved to Southern California with her family as a teenager, and chose to spend her life in the ocean cities of Orange County, including Laguna Beach, San Clemente, and San Juan Capistrano. She was an active and well-known member of the San Juan Capistrano Community for over 50 years. Her hobbies included creating beautiful and intricate needlepoint "paintings" and pillows and collecting objets d'art. Pat was extremely generous with her family and friends, and will be deeply missed.
