Patricia Ann Bradley, born June 12, 1943, in New York, NY, passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Ivy Park, a senior care facility in Mission Viejo. Many friends, including her mother, knew her as Patty Ann. She was born to Robert and Margaret Hessler. Her one brother, Robert Hessler, is married to Cheryl, and she has a nephew, Scott. Robert, Cheryl, and Scott live in Poway, California.

Her father was a Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army. As a career military officer, he moved many times with his family. Pat was in high school during his deployment in Japan and had many fond memories of her time there. She moved to California in the late ’60s and lived with her aunt, Pat, in Torrance for a short time while her father was preparing to retire. In 1969, Pat married a wonderful man, Ray Bradley, and they lived in San Pedro. In 1987, they moved to Coto de Caza, and two years later, Ray died of a brain tumor.

Pat lived alone for many years, but she was surrounded by her parents, her brother, Cheryl, Scott, and many friends. She freelanced in print production in the advertising industry. Her coworkers called her “Spike” because she kept after them to complete the job and meet the customer’s deadline.

In late 1994, she met her future husband, Doug Blasingham, at a friend’s house, almost like a blind date. They took to each other right away. On October 1, 1995, they were married in Laguna Beach. Pat didn’t like change, so she kept her last name, Bradley.

Pat never had children of her own, but Doug’s three daughters from his previous marriage—Shelly, Laura, and Jane—embraced her right away and always treated her as their own mother. Pat loved them just as much and always cherished their love and affection.

Pat and Doug went to Hawaii every year, reuniting with many friends. They also did a lot of traveling, including ocean cruises, river cruises in Europe, trips to Mexico, and many land-based trips.

Pat loved being at home with friends and family. A loyal and caring friend, she was known for her kindness, her outgoing nature, and her love of entertaining. She will be deeply missed.
