Paul Edward Gray, age 53, of Rancho Santa Margarita, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026 surrounded by his family and friends. Born November 4, 1972 in Riverside, California, Paul was a devoted husband, father, brother, teacher and friend whose life was grounded in his love for his friends and family.
Paul’s greatest pride and happiness were his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Justina (Radtke) Gray of 29 years and his two children, son Caleb Gray and daughter Erin Gray. He cherished time spent with them, whether through music, laughter, or simply being together. His steady presence, warmth, and humor formed the foundation of a home filled with love.
Paul is survived by extended family, parents, Edward and Sheri Gray and Mary Jane (Kyseth) McBride, brothers, Matthew Gray, Erik and Taryn Gray and sister Valerie and Bobby Boytor, brother in laws, Danny and Wendy Radtke, Doug and Laura Radtke, David Radtke and nieces and nephews, Matty, Margot, Audrey, Nick, Chris, Tony, Autumn, Corey, Chloe, Jack and Alexis.
Paul spent his professional life as a music teacher, leading by example, shaping generations of students with patience, structure, and genuine care. He believed in hard work, the value of practice, and he took pride in helping young people grow in confidence through music. His classroom was a place of focus, encouragement, and steady guidance. His influence extended well beyond the classroom and will remain in the lives of those he taught.
He enjoyed a good IPA, meaningful conversation, and time spent at home with the people he loved most. He will be remembered for his commitment and devotion to his family, his integrity as a teacher, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life.
