Paul Lawrence Mawn, age 69, resided in Mission Viejo.  Paul passed away suddenly on April 3, 2023 at his home in Mission Viejo.

Born to Francis and Blanche Mawn on June 1, 1953 in Boston, MA with one sibling, Peter.  He attended the Mechanical Engineer program at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. His employer at the time, Masoneilan International, transferred him to California in 1980.  He spent 40 years working in this industry with the most recent position as Vice President, Senior Director of Curtiss Wright Nuclear Division.  He retired in 2018.

In 2004, he met the love of his life, Jacqueline, on a blind date.  They were married in 2012.  They enjoyed traveling, both international and domestic. Paul was also a car enthusiast with a special fondness for muscle cars.  He volunteered at Cars and Coffee in San Clemente every Saturday morning.

Paul's parents are deceased.  He is survived by his spouse, Jacqueline Mawn, daughters Marissa Waite (Frank Waite) and Shannon Hayes (Bryan Hayes), grandchildren Ashley Waite, Allison Waite, Matthew Hayes, and Violet Hayes, brother Peter Mawn (Sandra Carr), nieces Sara Mawn Cugini and Holly Mawn along with many friends.

A Mass will be held at St. John Vianney Chapel, 314 Marine Avenue, Balboa Island, 92662 on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.  The Graveside Service will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Ascension Cemetery, 24754 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest, 92630.
