Paul Vincent Pay, 87 of Lake Forest, CA passed away on May 24, 2014 at home holding the hand of his sweet wife, Dorothy, of 59 years, as the result of a fall.
Born June 25, 1926 in Dewlish, Dorset England to Olive Vincent and Stanley Gordon Pay. Moved to Guernsey at age 5, attended Les Vauxbelets School, grammar thru high school. At age 14 Paul and his brother Roy were evacuated with the school to the mainland England because of the war, they were billeted in the Manchester area. His parents and younger siblings, Jill and Tony (Jack) stayed behind and were eventually moved to the internment camp Biberach Riss, in Germany. The only way they communicated was through 25 word, Red Cross letters. At age 17 he joined the Royal Air Force and focused in electronics, which would became his lifelong work. At the end of the war he was able to get a few weeks leave to reunite with his family. He was married to Georgina Wright, June 27, 1947. Because of his work alongside of the United States servicemen who bragged about America, he moved to Canada. Baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the age of 25, off Duffern Islands just above Niagara Falls. Moved to Las Vegas in 1954 where he met his eternal companion Dorothy Lucille Winkler, they were married in the Manti Temple on October 9, 1954. Paul owned his own businesses in Santa Cruz, CA and in Utah, was a Justice of the Peace in Mt. Pleasant UT, and moved to Anchorage, AK to work for the Alaska State Court System. One of Paul's dreams was to live on a boat, so when he retired he and Dott moved to a 35 foot sailboat named the Debonair, then to a 60 foot sailboat named the Irreantum, they spent 16 years living in the San Diego harbor, and serving in the San Diego Temple. Paul and Dorothy have resided in the Lake Forest area for the last 4 years.

Paul always said, he had 9 children all of them boys except for 7, all of whom survive him; Trish (Buddy) Beimert, Joy (Larry) Doane, Melody (Richard) Phillips, Trixie Jensen, David (Teri), Mark (Teri), Michelle (David) Sawyer, Charmaine (Kelly) Morley, Tiffiny (Paul) Hatcher.
Paul is also survived by 35 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, many of whom considered him like a father.

A viewing will be held from 9:00 to 9:45 am on May 28 in the Lake Forest Ward at 24755 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest CA. The funeral will follow at 10:00.
Additional Services will be held on Saturday, May 31, at the Rasmussen Mortuary 96 North 100 West Mt. Pleasant, Utah. A viewing will be from 9:30–10:30 and a graveside service to follow at 11:00.
