Peggy Jane Bishop, 95, of Payson, AZ, went to be with her Savior on December 29, 2024.
She was born March 27, 1929, to Virgil and Nina Galbraith in Springfield, Missouri.
Her family moved to Fullerton, California, when she was 15 months old, and stayed in various apartments there until completing high school.
Peggy went to Whittier College to get her Bachelor's Degree and teaching credential by 1951, then began her 40-year teaching career in elementary schools across Southern California. She also completed her Master's degree in Education at Long Beach State college in 1955.

In 1995, they retired to Payson, AZ, where they enjoyed their community and were involved in substitute teaching, Vacation Bible School, and Western town events.
Peggy was an active member of the Lutheran church, Wisconsin Synod, from a young age. From keeping a scrapbook of favorite bible passages, to teaching summer bible school classes, to helping with the altar guild, she emphatically supported the church and its congregation, with her time, finances, and love.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, parents, Virgil and Nina, and sister, Frances Lea. Survivors include her daughters, Judith of Seattle, WA, and Jennifer of Aliso Viejo, CA, and her granddaughter, Jami of Aliso Viejo, CA.
