Obituary

Peggy Joyce Kingsolver was born March 12,1927 in Bristol Virginia. She died on December 30,2023 at 96 in Mission Viejo at Ohana Care. Peggys parents were Irene Estelle Cather Kingsolver and Earl Milton Kingsolver. She lived in Bristol until she graduated in 1944 and moved to Los Angeles with her mother and her Aunt Ella and cousin Shirley to reside with her grandparents Mollie and William Cather. She met Harry R. Watson, fell in love and married him January 18,1948 at Little Church of the Flowers in Glendale CA at Forest Lawn. They had 4 children, Priscilla, Kathleen, Linda and Mary who they raised in Tujunga CA.

As a young mother she enjoyed her family and was known for making holidays fun as well as enjoyed spending time with her friends and neighbors. One special memory was being crowned Queen for a Day on the daytime television show. She enjoyed working at Fayes in Montrose CA and at Windsor Fashions in Glendale CA, where she was a retail associate and store manager. Peggy was also a member of La Crescenta Woman's Club and La Canada Methodist Church. As a member of the Republican Party she could always tell you how you should vote.

Some of her favorite activities were trips to the desert and the beach and cruises with Harry, along with family trips to Lake Shasta, Oregon and Redding to see family and friends. After Harry died she married Joe Edmonds and spent time traveling to Texas to see his family and enjoyed senior excursions.

She is survived by her children, Priscilla and husband Mike Forster, Kathleen and her husband Don Swetz, Linda and her husband John Bickmore and Mary and her husband Mark Faux. Grandchildren, Don Swetz, Philip Swetz (with Jesus now), Kristi Gallimore, Mark Forster, Katie Hughes, Erin Lineberry, Jaime Dacanay, Mandy Robinson, Jesse Ruelas, Candace Zoller, Rachel Hepworth, Lori Stringham, and Sara Gearhart. She also leaves Great- grandchildren, Maximillion, Andrew, Nathaniel, Mikayla, Jacob, Madelyn, Kennedy, Alyssa, Taylor, Jett, James, Maddie, Ben, Tyler, Alex, Isabella, Jake, Cole, Harper, Henry, Thatcher and Piper. Great-great grandchildren, Khaleesi, Kitai, and Lucius. Peggy was certainly a gracious loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be missed while leaving a beautiful legacy.
