Born in Ontario, CA, on November 16, 1938, Phyllis lived a life rich with learning, creativity, and an unwavering spirit that touched all who knew her.
Phyllis dedicated much of her career to education, serving as a revered school teacher at Twila Reid Elementary School in Garden Grove, California. Alongside her beloved husband, Larry Hamilton, she brought a unique flair to teaching, harnessing the power of video technology and hands-on experiments to inspire curiosity among her students. Phyllis's passion and empathy made learning enjoyable, ensuring that every child in her classroom felt valued and engaged. Her impact in the field of education is a lasting testament to her commitment to nurturing young minds.
Phyllis was a loving mother and grandmother whose generosity of spirit enchanted her family and friends alike. She took immense pride in her children, Brad and Brenda Hamilton, and relished every moment spent with her grandchildren. As a devoted mother, she fostered a home filled with warmth and laughter, creating cherished memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of her loved ones.
Later in life, Phyllis found joy in painting rocks, infusing her art with the life and love she embraced daily. Collaborating with her son, Brad, they created AI video episodes that brought her painted rocks to life, blending her creativity with technology. Phyllis also loved to swim in her pool during sunny days, surrounded by her family and the close-knit group of friends she treasured so much. Travel adventures with Larry filled her life with stories that she lovingly documented on her YouTube page, where her skills as a videographer and editor shine bright for all to enjoy.
Phyllis's lively personality and infectious laughter were a source of joy, bringing people together and creating bonds that transcended time. She is preceded in death by her husband Larry but her spirit lives on through the love she shared with her son Brad Hamilton and his family, her daughter Brenda Hamilton and her family, her sister Nancy Rice, and her sister-in-law Lynda Clark.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Phyllis on March 19, 2026, at 3:00 PM at McCormick & Son Mortuaries in Laguna Hills, CA. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the beautiful life of a remarkable woman who made a difference in the world around her.
