Praxedes Santos Macaraeg, a devoted caregiver and beloved family member, passed away at the age of 69 on May 26, 2023, at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She was born on July 21, 1953, in the Philippines to Nasario and Leonora Santos, and was one of thirteen children. Praxedes, known affectionately as "Precy" by her loved ones, had been a long-time resident of Lake Forest, California.
For over four decades, Praxedes dedicated her life to serving others as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at various assisted living homes. She took great pride in her work, providing exceptional care to the elderly with unwavering respect and kindness. Precy's compassion extended beyond her professional life and encompassed her family as well. She cherished her nieces and nephews, treating them as if they were her own children and always offering a helping hand when needed.
In her leisure time, Praxedes found joy in exploring new destinations, traveling to different places. She had a deep appreciation for the beauty of flowers, finding solace in their vibrant colors and delicate petals. Precy also delighted in savoring her favorite foods and eagerly discovering new culinary delights. Her lighthearted spirit and contagious smile brightened the lives of all those around her.
Praxedes Santos Macaraeg leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. She is survived by her loving husband, Lope Macaraeg, with whom she shared many beautiful years. Precy also leaves behind three cherished sisters, four beloved brothers, and a multitude of nieces and nephews whom she held dear to her heart. Her passing is mourned by her family, friends, and the countless individuals whose lives she touched with her selflessness and caring nature.
Although Praxedes has left this earthly plane, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her compassion, generosity, and dedication to others will forever inspire us to follow in her footsteps. May she rest in peace, forever embraced by the eternal love of her family and the gratitude of those she cared for throughout her remarkable life.
