Obituary

Raymond (Ray) Feldherr of Laguna Woods, California passed away peacefully in his home on June 16, 2022, after a long, brave battle with kidney disease.

Ray was born on July 11, 1931 in New York City.  He worked at Bell Labs as a young man where he met his first wife, Eleanor, who passed away in 2002. They moved to New Jersey where he became a New Jersey State Trooper in August 1960.  He retired as a Lieutenant in March 1982.  He then started his own business as an aerial photographer, combining his lifetime love of photography and his passion for flying.

Upon his second retirement, he moved to Laguna Woods in 2000, and a few years later he met and married Judy Greenhalgh-Feldherr.  They had a wonderful life together until her passing in May of 2021.

Ray will always be remembered for his keen sense of humor and his ability to tell a great joke, anytime, anywhere.

Ray is survived by his daughter Diane Bailey of Prescott Valley, Arizona and his sister Annette Berch of Raleigh,  North Carolina, as well as Judy's daughters, Meg Casalaspi of Corona del Mar, California and Sara DeCaprio of East Haven, Connecticut and their families.

Memorial will be private and he will be interred at the New Jersey State Police Memoria Garden Columbarium in Ewing, New Jersey.

If you would like to make a donation in Ray's name, his two favorite charities were:

NJ Former Troopers Heritage Foundation and MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center Foundation
