Obituary

Richard H. Chin entered into the arms of our Lord and Heavenly Father on May 16, 2019 in San Diego California, at the age of 55.Known as Rich to friends and family, he had been a resident of San Clemente, California since 2002 when he moved from the Bay Area where he had grown up. Richard was born on August 24, 1963 in Burma to George and Nelly Chin and has two sisters, Catherine and Grace as well as a brother, Simon. In 1996, Richard met his wife Giao "Christine" and they were married On November 26, 1999 in Mission Viejo, California.While living in the Bay Area working in the Biotech industry and as an Entrepreneur, Richard and Giao welcomed their first son, Nicholas on November 9.In 2002 they moved down to San Clemente, CA where a few years later they had their second son, Michael on August 10. Richard was an avid tennis player, having played and entered into dozens of tournaments, both singles and doubles, throughout his time, loved outdoor activities, traveling, golf, poker, an avid foodie and loved spending time with his wife, sons and extended family. Richard is best known as a loving Husband, Father, Uncle, Brother, Son and Friend.He was respected and loved by all who knew him.Richard is survived by his wife, children, parents, brother and sisters, in laws, nieces and nephews. There will be a Rosary Service on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 7:00 PM at McCormick and Son Mortuary located at 25002 Moulton Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92637. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 10:15 AM at St. Kilian Catholic Church located at 26872 Estanciero Drive, Mission Viejo, CA, 92691.Following the Funeral Services, a Celebration of Life Reception will be held aftetwards.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for contributions to the college funds for Nicholas and Michael. We have started a Venmo account for your contributions.
