Robert Paul Anhorn, born July 6th, 1926 passed away February 13th, 2014 at the age of 87. He died peacefully in his sleep with his favorite caregiver, Steve.

Uncle Bob, as he was known to his friends, is survived by his brother and sister, Gerald M. Anhorn and Maryalis Klicker, both of Walla Walla, WA, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Anhorn in 1993.

Bob was born in Walla Walla WA., and after graduating Walla Walla High School in 1944, went on to join the Army Corp in 1945. He graduated from the Army's Aerial Photography School in Colorado in Oct 1945, and went on to be stationed in active duty in Panama and Brazil from 1945, until he was honorably discharged on Dec 11th, 1946. He was responsible for photographing Aerial shots throughout the Amazon for our military.

After the Army, Bob returned to Walla Walla and enrolled in Whitman College, for a brief while, but at this point, Bob knew that International travel and work was truly his passion.

He lived and worked all through South America, Central America, and eventually went on to Vietnam.

He married Nhan Tran in the early 1970's, and eventually she and her daughter, Lilly T. all settled in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is here Bob worked as a refrigeration technician for many years on large shipping carriers.

He retired and moved back to the Southern California, in 1994, where he spent his final years, enjoying the sun, beach and his photography.

Private burial services will be held at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA.

Masses will be held in his honor at Assumption Catholic Church throughout the month of March.
