After leaving the Army, Robert sought employment with Fluor Corporation and worked as a piping engineer for over 40 years. Robert met his wife, Diane while attending a dance with friends, and that is when he knew she was the one for him. They were happily married on May 25, 1963.
Robert spent his life dedicated to his family and work. In 1981, he accepted a work transfer to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and moved his family there to live for 2 years. During that time, they enjoyed the sights of Canada and especially enjoyed celebrating a white Christmas. Some of Robert's hobbies were bowling, golfing, and playing pool. He was very successful at these activities and even achieved the difficult task of bowling a perfect 300.
His family will be saying their final goodbyes at a service at El Toro Memorial Park on Friday, March 20th at 2 pm.
