Robert Henry "Bob" Douglass of Laguna Woods, California (formerly of Kansas City, Missouri) was born on May 13, 1942 and passed away on May 7, 2018 in Laguna Woods, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl W. and Mary L. Douglass. He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home, his son Erich (Alisha) Douglass and grandson, Sebastian Theodore Douglass of Oakland, California. He is also survived by three sisters: Janice (Lynn) Toms of Independence, Missouri, Teresa Douglass (Jim Peck) of Columbia, Missouri and Cheryl
Douglass (Constance LaGue) of Portland, Oregon.

Bob graduated from Hickman High School in 1960 and received his Bachelor's degree in Accounting in 1965 from the University of Missouri. He was in his first year of law school at the University of Missouri when he was drafted. Bob served as a Quarter Master officer in the United
States Army and a Captain in the Kansas Army Reserve. He worked for Farmland Industries in various capacities for 31 years, retiring as an executive from there in 2002.

During high school and college, Bob ran projectors and managed the Hall Theater in Columbia, Missouri. He enjoyed woodworking, furniture building, boating, hunting, and trap shooting prior to suffering a stroke at age 60. After his stroke he enjoyed walking, riding his bike, going to the
gym, and tooling around Laguna Woods in his golf cart while still physically able. Always a fighter till the end.

Private graveside services will be held in June at Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, California. Memorial donations may be made to the National Aphasia Association, PO Box 87, Scarsdale, NY 10583.
