Robert Edward Hoffman, born December 26, 1938 in Milwaukee Wi, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2018 in Laguna Hills, Ca after a brave fight with Alzheimer's and Dementia.

Bob now joins his parents Theodore & Irene Hoffman (1961 & 1989), Sister Joyce Hoffman (1988), Brothers Ted & Jim Hoffman (1999 & 2009) in rest.

Bob was known as "Sweet Old Bob" or "SOB" to his friends.He was a loving father and is survived by his son Michael Stephen Hoffman and daughters Sandra Renee Mittelstaedt & Jennifer Lynn Henricks along with their spouses.Bob is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; all of whom will miss him.

The Marine Corps is what pulled Bob away from Wisconsin.He was proud of his service earning the rank of Corporal.Bob enlisting in 1957 being stationed in San Diego, Ca.After three years of active duty, he served in the Marine Corps reserves until 1963."Once a Marine, always a Marine".Bob was a Marine till the end adorning his home with many reminders of his service.

Bob spent 38 years with the Southern California Auto Club spending most of his time in claims and litigations.His hard work and dedication to the company paved the way for him to enjoy his retirement years.A "Packer Backer" for life, "Cheese Head" Bob religiously followed the packers wearing his green Packers gears every Sunday in a show of support for his hometown team.

Bob's other love in life was Golf.When not playing golf, he worked golf.His retirement years were spent working for Aliso Viejo Country Club, El Toro Marine Base Golf Course and finishing with Tustin Ranch Golf Club.Bob loved the challenge of golf but also the comradery it brought.Whether playing or working, Bob made sure everyone had fun.

Public Memorial Services will with Military Honors will take place on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10AM.Service will be held at McCormick & Son Mortuary Chapel.25002 Moulton Parkway.Laguna Hills, Ca.92637.

Bob's family will lay him to rest on March 21st, 2018 at the Miramar National Cemetery located on the grounds of Marine Corp Air Station, Miramar.Bob will proudly stand watch with his fellow Marines for eternity.
