Obituary

Robert William Newmeyer, AKA Bob, was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on November 3rd, 1945.  His parents are Fred William Newmeyer and Jean Elizabeth Watson.  Bob is survived by his two younger brothers, James Randall Newmeyer and Thomas Frederich Newmeyer.

When Bob was six moths old, his parents moved to Westchester, California, where he attended school until his senior year of high school, when the LAX Airport took their home to create another run way.  His family moved to Newport Beach and Bob always said that it took him 30 seconds to get used to living in Newport Beach, where he graduated from Newport Harbor High School.  Bob played baseball throughout his youth and had a great singing voice!  His family had an Erickson sail boat, where he learned his love of sailing.  He also played golf and was an avid Angel Baseball fan!  He attended Orange Coast College and transferred to the University of Nevada in Reno and graduated from the University of Long Beach State with a degree in Bachelor of Science.

In June of 1966 Bob married his first wife Antoinette Hopkins and in October of 1969 they had a beautiful baby girl named Jennifer Page Newmeyer.

Bob worked at Zellerbach Paper Company selling Industrial Paper and Packaging.  That's where he met Edith Franciska Bruyn AKA Edie.  They married in Newport Beach in December of 1975.  They bought their first home in Huntington Beach in 1976.  On November 19, 1979 Jaime Michelle Newmeyer was born.  In 1989 Bob started his own company named Newpaco Paper and Packaging and on August 17th, 1982 Christie Lee Newmeyer was born.  In April of 1986 they moved to their 5 bedroom house, where Tamara Jean Newmeyer was born on August 17th, 1986.

Some of the happiest events in Bob's life was the day that Jennifer married Joe Sambito, when Christie married Toby Brooks, when Tamara married Bryan Harrison and the time we spent with Jaime and her fiancé Paul Smith in Las Vegas.  The highlight of Bob's life was when we were blessed with seven grandchildren!  The oldest being Anthony Michael Antolin, followed by Sophia Grace Sambito, Giovani Antonio Sambito, Presley Elizabeth Brooks, Sadie James Brooks, Jackson Robert Harrison and Logan David Harrison AKA Kiwi.

Bob's favorite things in life was to spent time with family and friends.  To travel, go to the casino's and to watch the Angel games!  Oh, let's not forget, he loved his food, cocktails and his Fox news.  Bob had a great life!  Even though he fought his Mayasthinia Gravis for 17 years, he enjoyed every minute of his life, by being with family and friends!  Thank you to all that loved him and helped to give him the best life ever!
