Obituary

Ron was born April 21, 1937 in Tonasket, WA and went home to be with the Lord on July 6, 2014 in Laguna Woods, CA.

He grew up in Republic, Washington. He joined the Navy in 1954 and was assigned to the El Dorado, one of the ships in the Pacific Protective Fleet. After serving his country, Ron was honorably discharged from the Navy. His patriotic spirit was evident his whole life.

Ron's passion for Sales started when he purchased and managed a Sears and Roebuck catalog store in Canby, OR. He combined his desire to help people and his knack for fixing things during his time as a certified Maytag repairman.

His interest in cars was evident throughout his life, starting with having the hottest car around and going on to work in the Car Sales industry for 35 years. He continued working until just weeks ago.

In 1985, Ron met Donna. They fell instantly in love and went on to spend nearly 30 years together. Ron cherished his role as father to Lauralee, Ken and Karyn who he felt blessed to raise as his own. His 13 grandchildren knew him as "Mompa," the best Grandpa around. Mompa adored sharing in his grandchildren's activities, they were the pride of his life.

Ron was the center of his family. As a man of great faith, he carried them through good times and bad with grace and dignity. He shared his love for fishing, hockey and the San Diego Chargers with family and friends alike.

He is survived by his wife Donna, children Lauralee (Scott), Ken (Maleena), and Karyn (Damon); 13 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren and countless family, friends and coworkers. Ron was the kindest of men, a gentle spirit, who will be dearly missed.
