Obituary

In Loving Memory of Rosa Lorena Nolasco
August 30, 1963 – October 2, 2026

A devoted mother, loving grandmother, joyous great-grandmother, and a fiercely independent woman with a spirit no one could tame.

Rosa Lorena Nolasco was a woman you did not easily forget. She was strong, outspoken, loving, determined, deeply faithful, and completely her own person. She had a remarkable spirit and a generous heart.

Having lived a life filled with seemingly impossible circumstances, she managed to overcome them and still wear a smile, still speak of God, and still model unconditional love. She was a woman who learned from her mistakes, no matter how difficult the lessons or how much it took for her to grow from them.

Above all else, Rosa was a mother.

Raising seven children on her own, often without rest, was no easy journey. Yet she embraced motherhood with pride, determination, and a love that endured through every stage of her life. She gave the best of herself with what she had and what she knew at the time. Her children were among her greatest accomplishments.

She always encouraged us to fight for what we wanted, to never let fear defeat us, and to stop living our lives according to other people's opinions. Above all, she taught us to put God first, stay close to Him, and walk with Him through every season of life.

Those who knew her knew that she had a blessed touch for business, prayer, and manifestation. When Rosa set her heart on something, she worked tirelessly toward it, believing that with faith, perseverance, and God's guidance, even the seemingly impossible could become possible.

She always made big meals and filled our plates with mountains of food, expecting us to want a second serving. When one of us went back for more, her eyes would gleam with happiness. Preparing meals was one of the many ways she expressed her love, and nothing brought her more joy than seeing her children gathered together, eating, talking, and enjoying the food she had prepared.

She had a natural way of caring for people. She was the kind of person who called just to see how you were doing, who remembered you even if years had passed, and who made an effort to keep family connections alive regardless of the difficulties that sometimes stood in the way. Even in her final days, she was growing closer to her siblings, reaching out to her children and grandchildren, and checking in simply to let them know she was thinking of them.

We will miss her big smile, her tight hugs, her kisses, her unforgettable laugh, her conversations, her advice, and all the little things that made her unmistakably our mom. We will miss her unexpected little gifts, her phone calls, and the countless everyday moments that became memories we now treasure so tenderly. We will miss the comfort of her presence and the simple reassurance of knowing she was only a phone call away.

Her strength lives on in her children. Her love lives on in her grandchildren. Her legacy lives on in her great-grandchildren. And her faith will continue to guide the family she loved so deeply. Although her time with us has come to an end, her story continues through ours.

Mom, thank you for everything you did for us. Thank you for every sacrifice, every hug, every kiss, every plate of food, and every expression of love. We will never fully understand everything you had to endure to raise us, but today we honor, with profound admiration, the extraordinary woman you were. Your story doesn't end here, Mom. It lives on in each of your children, your grandchildren, your great-grandchildren, and every person who had the privilege of knowing you.

With God's loving arms around you, peace in your heart, and rest for your soul; we will love you and remember you always. Thank you, Mom.
