Rosemary Stomp, a cherished mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, in Lake Forest, California, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 11, 1946, in Denver, Colorado, Rosemary lived a full life marked by dedication, warmth, and an adventurous spirit that endeared her to many.
Rosemary’s career spanned several decades, chiefly within the marine industry, where she established herself as a respected professional. Beginning her journey in the late 1970s with Dugan and Associates, she briefly ventured into the banking sector before returning to her true passion. Her final professional chapter saw her bringing her expertise to the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), where she managed the West Coast Office until its closure in 2016.
Her colleagues and loved ones remember Rosemary not only for her professionalism but also for her remarkable qualities: she was a great listener with a big heart and brought fun and laughter to all who knew her. A fun-loving woman, Rosemary’s zest for life was evident, and she was known to never pass up the chance to visit a casino.
Rosemary is survived by her son, Shawn Bacon, and her sister, Sally Meyers. These close family members carry forward her legacy of kindness and joy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ron Stomp; her son, Chad Bacon; and her grandson, Jason Finan.
A memorial service to honor Rosemary’s life will be held on June 28, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at McCormick & Son Mortuaries, located at 25002 Moulton Parkway in Laguna Hills, California. Following the service, a reception will be hosted at the same location from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather in remembrance and support.
Rosemary Stomp’s enduring warmth, strength, and enthusiasm have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be treasured by those she leaves behind and by the many lives she touched along the way.
