With great love & gratitude, we celebrate her life of Rosetta Burton, a devoted woman of God, a pillar of strength, and a source light & joy to all who knew her. Born June 28, 1961 in Los Angeles, California to Joetta Bonds, who wa Milton Bonds older sister. She was lovingly nurtured by her mother Joetta Bonds, her grandma Emma Leroy and her great grandma Rosie McGee, who guided her to be a God-fearing woman whose kindness touched everyone she met.
Rosetta accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at a young age, a commitment that shaped the graceful and compassionate life she lived. She attended Dorsey High School through 12th grade before continuing her journey at Job Corps in Utah with a certificate for clerical. She later worked as a typist for a watchmaker and CNA, where she was known for her dedication a strong work ethic.
She had a love for food, and she would try anything at least once, often telling someone "take a bite" of whatever she deemed as good. Whether the experience was good or bad, she approacted life with much curiosity and an open mind. She had a strong fascination with movies & tv shows, especially Christian genre. She believed in God’s message was being shared directly to her, and carried those positive words throughout her days.
In her early years of the 2000s, she used the habit she developed with cleaning to have her own successful cleaning business. Many of her clients were input with the amount of detail she put in to her work. She did security as well. She was not satisfied with being comfortable or complacent. Later, Rosetta devoted herself again to her studies and becoming a certified nurse assistant. Many of her coworkers said that she brought joy, love and humor to her workplace, often raising their spirits as well for her patients, she cared for.
After years of hard work and dedication to her craft, she unfortunately she got hurt on the job. However, she didn’t give up on her devotion to her faith and family. She spend much of her time in studying Bible and prayer.
On May 12, 2026 Rosetta Burton passed away in an unexpected accident. She is survived by her uncle Milton Bonds, her daughter Talishia Rosy Burton, and son Ricky La France Ball Junior.
She is preceeded in death the by her oldest brother Ronald Hughes, second oldest brother Melvin Hughes, mother A Bond, grandmother Emma Leroy, and her great grandmother Rosie McGhee.
