Ruth B. Vaillancourt, born May 20, 1927 Methuen, Massachusetts, passed peacefully with her daughters by her side from complications originating from COVID-19 at her daughter Karen's home in Mission Viejo, CA on November 25th, 2020 at the age of 93.Ruth was born to Joseph Hall and Susan G Hall and had 6 sisters and 1 brother.She is survived by her two daughters, Jerilyn Vaillancourt and Karen Vaillancourt and two sisters Susan Coughlin and Sally Morrill.Ruth was a very loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and Aunt.
Ruth and Jerry moved to California in 1955 to pursue a better life. Her first employment in California was for TRW and she was proud to say she worked on projects relating to the Apollo launch.Later they moved to Yorba Linda, California where she was a stay at home Mom for about nine years before pursuing a career in accounting where she later went on to own a successful accounting firm.
Ruth loved being active and was always involved in a number of activities such as bowling, square dancing, traveling (which included most of the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, Italy, Belgium, England, France, Luxembourg, Germany and of course Mexico).In later years she loved playing cards with friends on Friday nights, bingo and helping at the senior center in which she was also President.She loved the Ocean, boat rides on Lake Mission Viejo, eating lobster, spending time with family, friends, and neighbors.
Ruth loved her two daughters more than anything and fought hard to be here with them during these last two and a half months after contracting COVID-19.Karen and Ruth had a special relationship, they would talk every day on Karen's way home from work, shop together and much more, they were truly best friends. There will be an incredible void left in the lives of all she touched but she will never be forgotten.
