Sandra Lucille Callahan, age 72, of Lake Forest, CA passed away on November 26, 2021. Sandy was a native Californian, born in Fresno while growing up in Fountain Valley where she attended the local high schools.Sandy's husband of 45 years, Robert Callahan, and her lived in Ontario, CA and most recently in Lake Forest, CA.
Sandy is survived by her husband, and soulmate, Robert Callahan, her son Brian and daughter Desiree, her brother Roger Flores and his wife Lulu, her sister Lydia Ortiz and her husband Al, and step grandson Ryan Callahan, as well as her extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families as well.
She was preceded in her death by her parents, Augustine Renteria Flores and Christina (Flores) Lopez, her brother Steve Lawrence Flores and his wife Terrie, nephew Roger Augustine Steven Flores and stepson Sean Robert Callahan.
Sandy worked at Pacific Bell from 6/1968 till her retirement on 1/2002.She continued to stay in touch with many of her co-workers. Sandy and her husband enjoyed traveling. They made several trips to Hawaii, with Kauai being her favorite island. Her favorite trip was to England and Italy. Sandy also enjoyed gardening, cleaning, crafting and shopping. Sandy was an amazing mother and loved her children more than anything. She loved laying in bed chatting with her son and going on shopping dates with her daughter. She also loved her fur babies. Marley, Rigby and Rocky will miss her dearly. Bailey and Mia will now have their mama with them in heaven.
After surviving breast cancer in 2015, she had a relapse of the disease, in October 2018. She passed away the day after Thanksgiving 2021, in Lake Forest, California surrounded by her loving family. She held on as long as she could and made sure we were all together before she passed.
Sandy was known for her contagious smile, loyalty, kindness and caring nature. She had the brightest light and touched everyone who met her. Although she is no longer here physically her spirit and energy will remain in all of us from this lifetime and into the next.
