IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sean (Shannon)
Olson
June 26, 1976 – August 13, 2025
Sean Olson was born June 26, 1976 in Viroqua, Wisconsin. He spent his youth and young adult years in Wisconsin, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He participated in many sports, lettering in baseball, football, and wrestling. In 2005 his son, Charlie, was born and thus began a father-son relationship full of fun adventures and a shared delight in all things "fright." Eventually, Sean and Charlie moved to California to begin a new chapter in their lives.
In 2021 Sean met the love of his life, Luciana. They married in October 2023 and began building their life together. They enjoyed biking, boating on the ocean, weekend getaways, morning trips to Starbucks with their beloved pup, and simply just spending time together. Luciana and Sean became who they were meant to be when they found each other. They made each other feel safe, and they experienced true and enduring happiness together.
Sean worked many years as a general manager for Best Buy and then as a marketing coordinator for Charter Communications. Later, he transitioned to project management in the construction and professional lighting industry. Sean enjoyed working with his hands and building. He had a passion for weightlifting and fitness. In his younger years, he was a semi-professional MMA fighter. Sean loved the Star Wars movies and built an impressive collection of memorabilia over the years. One of his true joys in life was celebrating Halloween with Charlie. They would dress to scare, work at Halloween Haunts together, and even created their own haunted trail in a Wisconsin corn maze.
Tragically, on August 13, 2025, Sean passed away after becoming seriously ill with severe heat stroke while selflessly volunteering in a search for a missing person. He is survived by his loving wife, Luciana; son Charlie; his parents, Mike and Ida; brother Alan (Amy); sisters Amy Jean, Candice, Amanda, and Amy; and many nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
Sean was a kind person who was always ready to help, no matter the situation. His courage, kindness, and unwavering willingness to assist those in need left a lasting impression on everyone he met and defined the remarkable way he lived his life. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Sean's life will be celebrated by his close friends and family on Friday, August 22 in Orange County, CA.
