Sergio Hernandez, 48 years old of San Juan Capistrano, CA passed away on November 28, 2020 surrounded by prayers from everyone that loved him.

Sergio is survived by his wife Erika of 27 years, daughters Kayla Hernandez, Emily Hernandez, many loving nieces and nephews, brothers, sisters, and extended family. Sergio was born in Texas, he was often called "El Tejano" by friends and family from his original hometown in Michoacan, Mexico.

He lived a happy life in San Juan Capistrano where he worked as an Auto Technician for 25 years. Sergio loved spending time with family, friends, traveling, he also enjoyed movies, going on long drives and hiking. Sergio was an exceptional human being, he will be remembered as a loving husband, excellent father, generous friend, and humble. Let us remember and honor him by living life with the same kindness he showed everyone around him. Although his time here with us was far too short he has left an impact on everyone that will surely never be forgotten. He will live in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm at McCormick & Son Mortuaries on Friday December 18, 2020. Funeral services for Sergio will be at Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano on Saturday December 19, 2020 at 11 am. Sergio will be laid to rest as Ascension Cemetery in Lake Forest, CA at 12:30 pm.
