Sharon (Sherry) Elizabeth Woods of Laguna Woods passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 4, 2014.

Born & raised in Aspinwall, Pa., she is survived by sister Sandra (Sandy) Woods of Aspinwall, preceded in death by parents Paul & Dorothy Woods, and Brother Gary Woods. A loving Aunt to Erica Fischetti, Allison (Woods) Jaques, Jessica Woods & Matthew Woods, Great Aunt to Evan Jacques.

A graduate of Fox Chapel High School class of 1969, and 1997 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Los Angeles Valley College with Presidents Distinguished Honor Award.

Though only 62, Sherry had a full life as an actress, United Airlines flight attendant, and lover and seeker of beauty and nature. Her jewelry and crafts were always creatively made with natural materials. Sherry had a delightful sense of fun and would join any group that played games and laughed. Being an avid Disney fan, she became a serious collector for fun and profit. Her humor, intelligence and positive attitude drew many friends.

Sherry was an early member of the LW Yacht Club and became a valuable crew member. She was the first Rear Commodore, who wore many hats in the growing club. Sailing was her passion and an activity she looked forward to every week. Even her pets reflected her love of the ocean and sailing. There was Sailor Girl, her Maltipoo and Hobi and Scuba, her cats.

Sherry will be missed by all who knew her…but never forgotten.
