Shellie Jean Pence, 48, passed away on Sunday morning August 5, 2018 at 4:10am. She was born on December 18, 1969 to Michael Cole and Donna Pina.

Shellie was born in Newport Beach, CA. and was a 4th generation native Californian. She was married to John Pence in August 11, 2001. They have resided in Lake Forest, CA. for the past 17 years.

Shellie graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of California, Irvine, with a degree in psychology. She went on to get her teaching credential at Concordia University. She taught 1st grade for 10 years until Thomas was born and she became a stay at home mom. Shellie was gifted with many qualities, particularly in the area of teaching and organizational leadership.

She went out of her way to welcome, include, connect, and support those in her community. That, coupled with her courageous faith and perseverance, blessed many!

Shellie is survived by her husband of 17 years, John Milton Pence, from Ogden, Utah, and 3 beautiful children: Thomas James (13), Lindy Elizabeth (2), and Macy Noel (6).

She is the oldest of 6 siblings: Trevor, Scott, Sarah, Steven, and Becky.
