Sherli Margaret Young
1938 – 2025

Sherli Margaret Young, 87, entered eternal rest on Friday, June 13, 2025, in Irvine, California. She was born in 1938 to William and Lillian (Bjorkman) Young of Kenora, Ontario, Canada.

Preceding Sherli in death were her parents, William and Lillian Young; her sister, Marilyn Gabryluk; and her brother-in-law, Don Gabryluk. Leaving to mourn her are her nephew, Cory Gabryluk (Berlina, daughter Corina), her niece, Coral Gabryluk (Patrick Matiowsky, daughter Emily Gabryluk), and many cousins.

Sherli was baptized in Bethesda Lutheran Church in Kenora. Since 1989, she was an active member of the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California, and then when the congregation relocated to Shepherds Grove in Irvine, California.

At the age of 20, Sherli moved to California and later became a U.S. citizen. She enjoyed a long and successful career in real estate, beginning in the Los Angeles area and later relocating to Orange County. After retiring from real estate, she was employed by Marriott Vacation Club International where she formed a circle of friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the caregivers for the exceptional care and compassion that they provided to Sherli.

A graveside service will be held July 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at El Toro Memorial Park Cemetery, 25751 Trabuco Rd., Lake Forest, California, with Pastor Glenn DeMaster of Shepherd's Grove officiating. A viewing before the graveside service will take place at 9:30 a.m. at McCormick & Son Mortuary, 25000 Moulton Pkwy, Laguna Hills, California.
