Shirley Ann Weil, born March 30th, 1938 in Red Oak Iowa, passed peacefully on Monday, November 23, 2021 in Saddleback Memorial Hospital. Born to Edgar and Violet Stevenson, she has one sibling, Connie Stevenson.
Shirley met the love of her life, Richard Weil while attending Villisca Community High School and dated for 6 months before getting married on September 16, 1956 in Villisca Iowa. Shirley and Richard had 3 children, Cheryl, Ricky and Nicky.
Shirley was a housewife and assisted with various businesses Richard had started. Shirley enjoyed crafting and was an excellent cook making birthdays and holidays a thing to remember for many generations.
Shirley and Richard started their life together in Iowa and moved to Nebraska, Colorado, Arizona and finally, Laguna Woods California, during their 65 years of marriage. Shirley is survived by her husband Richard and her 3 children and their spouses, Cheryl and Allan, Ricky and Amy, and Nicky and Glenn. Shirley is also survived by her grandchildren Shiloh, Cheyanne, Keegan, Krista, Christopher, Michael, and great grandchildren Charlie, Kyrin, Aydien, Carsyn, Inziliegh, Iris, Jaydin, Dakota, and her sister, Connie Stevenson.
Shirley enjoyed the many trips and miles she rode on the back of their Goldwing touring motorcycle. Shirley especially enjoyed the rides through the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
Services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:00AM in the Chapel at McCormick and Son Mortuary, 25002 Moulton Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92637, followed by a reception. Shirley will be interred at Riverside National Cemetery.
