Born in Hartford, CT to Polish immigrants, Steve spent his childhood in Connecticut along with his sisters Frances (Rokicki) and Patricia ( Ceninglio).
Steve graduated from Hartford State Technical College and moved to California where he lived most of his adult life, working in construction and housing related fields.
His son Stephen Chmura III resides in Colchester CT, and his son Peter and daughter Diana live in Westminster,CA.His daughter Heidi predeceased him.
Steve was a loyal and dedicated friend and will be remembered fondly for his zest for life.
