Stephen (Steve) Lynn Koch died, Thursday, May 17, 2018 in his Laguna Beach home due to complications of leukemia.He was born March 19, 1950 in Long Beach to Claud and Elza (Beeckman) Koch.

Stephen was raised in Orange County, California, and later attended Loyola University, in Los Angeles, majoring in Psychology.Stephen worked for 34 years in telecommunications industry.

His hobbies include reading (mostly history and current events), attending theater and concerts, visiting museums and traveling, especially to Europe, including his mother's birthplace in Belgium.

He is survived by his spouse, Dennis Hall, brother Dennis (Rebecca) Koch of Lancaster, California, sister Shirley (Daniel) Mashburn of Nevada City, California, and sister-in-law Joan Hall (Mark Weil) of Jamestown, Rhode Island.He is also survived by his niece, Melanie (Jason) Nichols, and nephew, David (Stephanie) Mashburn, as well as great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Friday, June 1, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Laguna Beach with interment to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Huntington Beach.
