It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Steve Abayon, who left us on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the age of 64. Steve was deeply committed to education, proudly earning his Undergraduate and Master's Degree. He worked as an Accountant/Auditor for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport, in Oxnard CA exemplifying the value of knowledge and instilling that same passion in everyone he met.

Beyond his academic and work accomplishments, Steve was an avid golfer, finding peace and joy on the course. He also had a great love for fashion, cooking, dancing and enjoying good food. Most importantly, Steve gave his heart to Jesus and publicly declared his faith through baptism.

Steve is survived by his children, Steven, Shantel, grandchildren, siblings Evangeline(Gary), Emmalyn(Vene), Evelyn(Gil), Ethelyn(late Sterling), Ray (Josephine), Genoveva, Susan(Rod), Mike(Weena), Lyn(Chris), Raymundo(Rhonda), Raymond(Eileen) and many other loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on 4/15, Tuesday 4pm at McCormick & Son Mortuaries, 25002 Moulton Pkwy, Laguna Hills, Ca 92637.

Reception will follow and Viewing until 8pm.
