Mr. Subashis Majumdar passed away on November 21, 2015 in Los Angeles, California. He is survived by his wife Sanchita Majumdar.

Subashis (affectionately called as "Subash" by his friends) was born in Calcutta, India, to his parents, Anjali and Kalyan Majumdar. He was the youngest of three children of his parents.

Subash was a brilliant student, and after finishing his schooling at Don Bosco School, Calcutta, he attended the Indian Institute of Technology for his B. Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering. Then he did his MS at State University of New York at StonyBrook. He then moved to California and did his MBA at UC Irvine, and lived at Irvine ever since.

Subash loved traveling and was a voracious reader. He was a treasured friend to many and had a big heart to help others. He will be sorely missed by his friends and family.
