Ted Lewis Fisher, 89, of San Juan Capistrano, California, passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 4, 2019 after a short stay at Mission Viejo Hospital.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 30 at Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano, 31520 Camino Capistrano San Juan Capistrano, CA A repass will follow soon after at 12:00 PM at the San Juan Hills Golf Course, 32120 San Juan Creek Rd, San Juan Capistrano, CA.
Ted was born March 6, 1930 in East Los Angeles, California to Robert and Mary (Parker) Fisher. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Los Angeles, California in 1948. Ted was employed for over 30 years as an architectural engineer for McDonnell Douglas/Boeing. In his early years Ted enjoyed using his architectural knowledge to build a variety of structures in his homes, as well as fishing with his sons, Stefan and Erik in Lake Cachuma. After retiring from McDonnell Douglas, Ted continued to work as a consultant for the firm. He also went back to school and retrained as a landscape architect and started his own company, Landscape Concepts. In his retirement, Ted volunteered at Casper Park as a Park Ranger. He was an avid golfer and played at Oak Creek, San Juan Hills and San Clemente Municipal. Ted was a talented artist and spent his weekends creating beautiful landscapes. He also enjoyed watching old movies, classic mystery shows, and spending time with his children and grandchildren whenever he could.
Ted is survived by his two sons, Stefan Karl Fisher and his wife Jennifer of Taipei, Taiwan, Erik Jason Fisher and his wife Rachel of Mission Viejo, CA; four grandchildren, Ryan, Connor, Carter and Jack Fisher, his sister Marie (Fisher) Wall of Los Angeles, CA along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary and his sister Cynthia Marvray.
