IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas Clark
Dufault
September 4, 1963 – October 3, 2025
Thomas Clark "Tommy" Dufault was born on September 4, 1963, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange, California, to Kenneth and Helen Dufault. He was one of six siblings, alongside brothers Ken and David and sisters Therese, Beth, and Mary.
From an early age, Tommy was full of energy, curiosity, and mischief. He channeled that energy into speed skating, earning first place and setting a record at the 1977 United States Speed Skating Championship in Fort Worth, Texas — an achievement he held close to his heart and proudly shared whenever he could.
He graduated from Villa Park High School in 1981. Shortly after, while working at GoldenWest Technology in Fullerton, California, Tommy met his future wife, Kelly, in 1983. They dated for seven years and married on their seventh anniversary, July 14, 1990, at St. Kilian's Catholic Church in Mission Viejo, California. They later settled in Foothill Ranch, California, where they raised their children: Maxwell Kenneth, born July 27, 1998, and Zoe Mercedes, born September 19, 2001.
Tommy's greatest joy was creating fun memories with his kids. Anyone who knew him knew he remained a kid at heart. Every weekend meant a new adventure — whether it was a trip to Disneyland or Knott's Berry Farm, cheering on one of his favorite teams (the Lakers, Angels, Kings, or Ducks), jet skiing at the river in Laughlin, or camping in Calico, spending the day at the beach, or lighting up the sky with fireworks. His children were his greatest pride, and he was determined to fill their lives with unforgettable experiences.
His love for speed never faded — he drove fast, laughed fast, and lived fast. Tommy showed us all how to squeeze a little more fun out of life, and for that, we will always be grateful.
Above all else, Tommy was a friend to everyone, a devoted father, and someone you could always count on for a great laugh. He was truly one of a kind — he will be deeply missed by everyone who met him, and forever remembered through the stories he leaves behind.
