Thomas Storey, 77, a 45 year resident of San Juan Capistrano, passed away peacefully with his daughter Helen Storey & Sister, Judy Manning by his side in San Juan Capistrano, CA. on January 7th 2017.Tom was born and raised in the rural town of Leyden North Dakota.He was the first child born to Walter and Helen Storey.Tom's young life was shaped in one of the last frontiers of America, as part of a large farming family of 11 brothers and sisters.

Tom Joined the Navy in 1957.He served 6 years, based in San Diego, CA. and spent 1 year at sea.

In 1962 he married his wife, Estella Storey in Long Beach, California. Tom grew up in Hoople, ND, and later lived in San Diego, Long Beach, Paramount, Tustin and San Juan Capistrano, CA. Detroit Lakes, M, Henderson, NV. Tom resided in San Juan Capistrano for over 40 years. owning his own business in Capistrano Beach.He was a long time member of the San Clemente Exchange Club and served as president in 1977. He was also a 40 year member of the Mission Viejo Elks Club.

Tom loved to play golf on a regular basis, travel and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was loved by many and touched the lives of countless people…..

Tom is Survived by his two daughters, Helen and Catherine, and four grandchildren Justin, Jessica, Kylie, and Brook and his brothers Terry, John, Edward, and Richard, his sisters Phyllis, Anna, and Judy.

Service will be held Friday January 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at Mission Basilica San Juan Capistrano in San Juan Capistrano, CA.

Military honors burial ceremony will be held Wednesday January 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego CA 92122.
