Tyler Thomas Belongie, born June 7, 1992, transitioned on May 30, 2022, at the age of 29. Born to Ivania and Thomas Belongie, he has two siblings, Michael and Jeremy Belongie, and a stepmother, Karen Belongie. He lived his whole life in Orange County- from the sea breeze air of San Juan Capistrano to the thin crisp air on the hills of Trabuco Canyon.

From a young age, Tyler showed us that he would always do things his own way. He carried a strong sense of confidence and certainty, which almost never wavered in the face of challenges. He could mount up some shade with anything in the surrounding area while adding his own artistic flair to it. Perhaps attributable to boy scouts, but he was always a creative genius. One of his favorite pastimes was figuring out how to play a new instrument, or delicately drawing the next sensational aesthetic.

Tyler worked several jobs. Most notably, his time at Home Consignment Center highlighted his ability to work well with customers. He always brought home something new to hang on the wall, or a new couch to lounge on. Most of the time, he would not run it by anyone because he knew it would work out. And he was right, we still use that furniture today. Tyler used his people skills to become an accomplished car salesman for about two years. He would always flex his income by taking us out to eat, including dessert and a generous tip.

They say trail blazers tend to burn up the road quickly. Tyler certainly was a trailblazer, always intensely invested in seeing results of his ideas. If his life could be summed up in three words, it would be generous, passionate, and inventive. Services are Friday, June 10, 2022, 5:00 p.m. at McCormick & Son, Mortuaries, 25000 Moulton Parkway.
