Ulysses Claude Baham Jr. was born on October 2nd, 1937 to Ulysses Claude Baham Sr. and Clemence Bessie Baham in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the oldest of four children. He graduated from Saint Augustine High School in New Orleans. He moved to Los Angeles, California in 1958. Where he later received his Associate of Arts Degree from Southwest Los Angeles Community College. He met his first wife Shirley M. Sudds and was married. They had two sons Ulysses C. Baham III and Michael Carl Baham. They later divorced. He married a second time to Barbara J. Wilcox. This ended in divorce also. He worked for the Los Angeles County Probation Department for 37 years and 8 months before retiring in 1997. He resided in Laguna Woods, California for the last 17 years. During this time he accepted the call of the Lord and attended Christ Our Redeemer Church. During his later years he replaced his love for fishing with collecting antique oil lamps and grandfather clocks which he loved to search for and return to working order. He is survived by his four siblings GaynelL Cooper of San Antonio, Texas, Caroll Cooper of Los Angeles, California, Errol Baham of Goodyear, Arizona. One uncle Donald Baham of Seattle, Washington His sons Ulysses C. Baham III and Daughter in-law Donna R. Baham of Alta Loma, California and Michael C. Baham of Phoenix, Arizona. Daughters Tanya Wilcox-Ha and son in-law Mathew Ha of Oxnard, California and Kelley McClemore of Tacoma, Washington. Grandchildren Armond Chalmers III, Cortney Waters, Joshua Guillory, Marissa Guillory, Kara Baham and Ulyssa Baham. Three great grandchildren. A host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
