Vilma Lissette Gonzalez was born February 22, 1982 in Asuncion Mita, Guatemala. She died peacefully in her sleep from her battle to cancer Monday, April 27, 2020 in her Aliso Viejo home. Vilma was loving known as Lissette or Liz to everyone. Born to Bernardo and Hilda Vivian Gonzalez, she has 5 siblings, Carlos Gonzalez (passed), Heidi Gonzalez, Mayra Serrano, Beatriz Gonzalez, and Samuel Gonzalez. Lissette moved to the United States in 1989 where she grew up in Orange County the remainder of her life. After a courtship, Mr. Gonzalez and Lissette were married on August 31, 2002 and had 5 children Daisy, Enrique, Liz Valeria, Lindy, and Angela.

She worked as a dental assistant for about 5 years. She is survived by her husband, children, parents, siblings, four brother-in-laws, three sister-in-laws, eleven nieces and nephews, mother in-law, two grandmothers and her dog Max. Her eldest brother, Carlos Gonzalez, passed away on August 27, 1997.

Lissette's pride and joy were her children. She was a dedicated mother that spent all her time raising and loving her five children.

Three years ago, Lissette and her children helped plant a church in Lake Forest. She started serving in the praise and worship and as lead usher. She enjoyed serving God and her church.

On September 3, 2019 Lissette was diagnosed with stage four stomach cancer. After a painful seven months battling cancer, Lissette died peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Service will be held at McCormick & Son Mortuaries in Laguna Hills attended only by close family members.
