Obituary

Walter Frank Raymond (nèe Jablecki), born September 3, 1922 in the state of Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 4, 2018 in his Mission Viejo home at the age of 95. Born to Stephen and Mary Jablecki, he has three siblings Jean Jablecki (passed), Stanley Jablecki (passed), and Helen Goode.
After High School, Walter left Ohio, joined the Army and proudly served in World War II.After four years of honorable service, he attended Southern Methodist University in Texas and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. From there, he moved to California where he began to work in sales.Walter found a niche working in the school equipment industry, a career that would span for over 50 years. He met Carol Lesar at the Corona Del Mar Chef's Inn Halloween party in 1964 and married her in 1965.They had two children Jason and Nicole.
Walter is survived by his sister Helen Goode, son Jason Raymond, daughter-in-law Jamie Krummel Raymond, daughter Nicole Raymond Wyckoff and grandchildren Jared, Josua, Jordan and Kylee. His nieces, Mary Jean, Sherri (passed), Judith, Susan, Lea Anne, Teri and nephews Larry, Gary, and John.
Walter's pride and joy was his family, especially his four grandchildren. He enjoyed the holidays, his grandchildren's sporting events, and bragging about them to everyone he knew.In his younger years, you could catch him playing a round or two of golf, or fishing on the Colorado River, in Idaho or up in Mammoth. He loved to spend time in his Palm Desert house where he loved sitting on his patio with a cigar in one hand and a martini in the other as the golfers passed by.He was a very social man who was always ready to tell you a good joke (sometimes very inappropriate). Blessed with good health, Walter was doing the things he enjoyed well into his late 80's.
Walter's ashes will be scattered at sea with a military service on Sunday, May 20, 2018, aboard the Curlew in Dana Point (immediate family only),followed by a reception at 1:30 at Nicole's house (anyone welcome).
