Wanitta Maddox blessed us with 89 wonderful years.Wanitta was born just outside Jeff City,

Missouri on May 17, 1925. In December, of 1942, Wanitta was married to James B Maddox.



After the war they settled down in Denver, Colorado where they had their first

son Jim, on April 17, 1950. After James was called back to active duty in the Korean

War, they settled in Long Beach, California, where they had their 2nd son Jerry, on July

8, 1953.

Except one year in Nebraska they spent the rest of their years living in

Southern California, traveling up to Seattle, Washington and back to Fort Meyers, Florida as often as possible.

On Nov.6, 2014, Wanitta went to be with her Lord. She was preceded in death by her

husband (Jay), 2 brothers ( George and Chester) and 2 sisters (Virginia and

Joan). She is survived by her sister Margie, of Jeff City, Missouri, 2

loving sons, James (wife Ellen) and Jerry (wife Jan) , 3 grandkids Roxanne, Rusty

and Stephanie, 5 great-grandkids and 4 great-great-grandkids.

Wanitta was a very active member of Christ Community Church of Laguna Hills. After Wanitta's

love for her God and family, she also loved singing in the church choir and doing

visitation. She touched many lives.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will

be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11am at Christ Community Church of

Laguna Hills at 25382 Mackenzie Street, Laguna Hills, CA 92653.

In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of and tribute for Wanittta can be made to the Deacons

Fund at Christ Community Church.
