1927 – 2016. Bill slipped away peacefully at his home in Laguna Niguel on July 15. He is survived by his wife Miriam Ferdi, sister Emily Bouma, sons Mark and
Bill Ferdi, and grandchildren Nate and Natalie Ferdi.
Bill grew up in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania and joined the Navy in 1944. After serving until the end of WWII, he moved to Southern California, took a job as an
aircraft engineer, and soon met Miriam, whom he married in 1954. His strong work ethic and independent spirit led him to build his first home while still working
in the aerospace industry. Shortly thereafter, home building became his full time work and passion.
In 1968 he moved the family to Newport Beach and focused exclusively on building custom homes. He was a charter member of Big Canyon Country Club and
actively involved in several local charities and organizations. Here, he forged tremendous friendships in the community and never missed an opportunity to
share a little wisdom, or a good story. He was a man of integrity, commitment and humor, a loyal husband for 62 years, and a dedicated father and grandfather.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
