William James Holliday, aka: Jim or James, born March 24, 1943 Winchester Idaho, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021 in the City of Fountain Valley.Jim was a caring husband, brother, father, grandfather, and friend.
He was lovingly known as Bhu to his wife, Poppy and Papa Jim to his grandkids, nieces, and nephews.
Jim graduated from the University of Idaho, putting himself through school independently. He lived in many different places while raising his two dear kids Jamie and Trayce in Oregon, Northern California, Maui, Oahu, and Idaho.
Living in Hawaii was his favorite as he spoke so fondly about his 15 years spent there.He worked in real estate, sales, and the hospitality industry. Later, he moved to California where he married his wife Liza, in September 1995, and lived in Southern California for a majority of his life, enjoying his favorite hobbies including playing golf, watching sports, and traveling.
Jim took pride in his family and was proud of their accomplishments and successes. Seeing them happy brought him joy.
He had such a big presence in the room, not only through his tall stature but also with his deep voice. He was a great conversationalist and could talk about any topic. He stood by his beliefs and was comfortable speaking his mind. He enjoyed talking to others by getting to know them and learning about their culture, interchanging knowledge and past experiences.
Jim loved the time spent with family and friends, and was generous to help others. He had a big heart that will always be remembered.
Services will be held Sunday, October 10th, 2021, 1:00 PM at McCormick and Son Mortuary, 25002 Moulton Parkway in Laguna Hills, and a recorded live stream link will be available for those unable to attend in-person.
