Alan McFadden, born March 3, 1933 was taken home by the Lord on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.Al proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.After the war he returned to California where he became a firefighter for the city of Santa Ana.He later became a real estate agent ended his working career as a security officer at Pelican Point in Newport Beach.
A true adventurer at heart, Al loved traveling and the outdoors.During the winter he would love to wake up to the local mountains with the family for a day of skiing.He was an avid hunter and fisherman.He had a passion for fishing and took many trips locally and in Mexico.When the tuna were biting he'd be heading down to San Diego to get on a fishing charter boat.
Al loved life but most of all loved God and his family.He was a Christian man who loved the Lord with all his heart.He looked forward to his men's bible study and coffee on Thursday mornings.He also attended church services at Calvary Chapel in San Juan Capistrano.On his 86th birthday he was asked, after all these years, what advice could you share?He said, "be nice to people."He touched many with his kindness, caring and true heart of service.
He will be dearly missed and loved always by family and friends.He is survived by his wife Joan, daughters Shannon and Dianna and their families as well as sons Ryverz and Darrin and their families.Brothers JP passed in and David and their families.
Services will be held at El Toro Memorial Park on Thursday, February @ 2:00 PM followed by a reception.
