Our dear mother and grandmother Zahra Maleki Shahrokhi, of Northridge Los Angeles, sadly passed away in Cedars Assisted Living on September 12, 2024 at the age of 95 suffering from dementia. She was a wonderful, generous mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance. She was the heart and soul of our family, considerate, unselfish with a loving heart who was always willing to give so much of herself. She touched the lives of all who knew her.

Zahra was born on April 4, 1929 to Mahmood and Fatemeh Maleki Shahrokhi in Iran. She had two brothers (Abdullah and Fereydoun Maleki Shahrokhi ) and four sisters (Shamsi, Parvin, Parvaneh and Akram Maleki Shahrokhi).

Zahra was married to our father Abdul Majeed Bahreni Nejad who preceded her in death. She was the heart of our home and she raised three children, Kouroush (who sadly passed away in December 2020), Faranak (62) and Kambiz (57) years to be independent and thoughtful adults. As a grandmother to Justin (35) and Kristin (33) she was a kind, giving grandma who spoiled them at every available opportunity while giving them sound life advice.

It is always hard to lose a loved one and it leaves a void in our hearts. We all wish we had the power to make death go away and we never had to deal with such a tragedy but sadly, death is inevitable. We can only pray that the soul of our beloved mother Zahra will find peace and always watch over the family. We are blessed to have had such an incredible person in our lives. She will stay in our hearts for the rest of our
lives and she will not be forgotten.

There will be a small service for the family members held on Friday September 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., at El Toro Memorial park, 25751 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest, CA 92630
